Summer is here!

Hi guys... In honor of the glory of summer, I've made a new header! I realize that I just changed my blog template, but the orange header that I had previously wasn't made by me. It was actually a desktop wallpaper made by Cody Nicoll, that I had found at Pixelgirl Presents.

I made this from scratch in Photoshop. :D I'm hoping to not get bored with this header, but I might change it ... you never know. ;)

Anywho, speaking of summer, I'm trying to convince the hubs to buy us a pool so the girls and I can be outside even on the hot days. Oh, and some sort of service for the boob tube for summer boredom emergencies, though if we do get service (like a dish), I'm really going to try to keep it to a minimum... Anna is at that age where habits are really starting to set in. I don't want my kids to be sedentary and over weight later on in life like me.

Today is our 18th anniversary and we had hoped to have a picnic with the girls, but the ground is pretty soggy from all the rain we have had in the last 3 days- including today- so it looks like John will have to settle for my homemade enchiladas.

I hope your summer is off to a good start!

Except for the part where summer started of with pooh. ;)

What a lovely banner! I'm going to have to break down and get Photoshop!

I hope y'all CAN get some kind of service for your TV... I can't imagine all summer with kids without the TV occasionally!!

It would be really pretty at 1024 wide in a fixed position as the background, so your blog scrolled over the top of it. :D

Very nice!

I love the new banner - but you could widen it to fill the entire spot.

I changed my blog banner using these directions:

Design Mommy

Not that you need any help, obviouisly.

nice header - but suddenly so dark - surprised.

I'd settle for homemade enchiladas too.

Love this design too. We have a teabag pool, but it's a pain to setup...requires releveling the playcourt, otherwise the pool sags to one side and water flows out. Happy 18th anniversary!

I love the new banner! I like the colors you used this time better than the oranges before. I love the butterflies and the dark skies. Makes me think of a dark summer night running through a field or something of that sort. :)

We only have broadcast television -- which is basically just the first 15 channels -- it is both cost effective (around just $17 per month), and it keeps it from becoming addictive to the kiddos. We only get one children's channel, PBS, and it works for us.

Good luck on the pool!

Happy Anniversary!!

Great banner, happy anniversary, I love the header and black and blue. Good luck with having a picnic, very soggy here too, rained off/on all weekend and we had a little flooding this morning on some lower lying road/under overpasses, etc.

Happy anniversary! Summer is here and I'm with you on the pool. I love having one. The header and new look is fun - I like what you did. I have to avoid getting into design projects because they take over! LOL Timewise I mean.

Hugs,
Holly

I have cable. We keep it to a minimum. But now I think that we're wasting money. I can't win ...
